MyRide.com Celebrity Car Interview: Vince Neil, Mötley Crüe

With over 70 million albums sold, the self-proclaimed “most notorious band on earth”, Mötley Crüe, is getting back together for a giant summer tour in support of their brand-new album, The Saints of Los Angeles. Crüe Fest, as it’s being called, will hit 40 cities, and in addition to Mötley Crüe, it will feature bands Buckcherry, Papa Roach, SIXX: A.M., and Trapt. The fact that they will be playing in Edmonton puts to rest the myth that Mötley Crüe were collectively banned from the city (more city tour dates below). While Crüe frontman Vince Neil will probably spend a good deal of this summer on a tour bus, we thought it would be a great time to do a MyRide With.

In addition to his role with Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil keeps pretty busy off the stage as well. He runs a tattoo shop in Las Vegas (Vince Neil Ink), a nightclub in West Palm Beach (Dr. Feelgood’s), a winery in Napa Valley (Vince Vineyards), and a charity dedicated to children’s illnesses (The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation). Raised in Massachusetts, Nick took on skateboarding seriously at a young age. Slick Rick Rivera, former pro-skater and host of “Slick’s Picks” on Scion’s Broadband network has a tough job. Slick travels across the globe to discover the world’s coolest cultural landmarks, stores, and restaurants in a search for the latest in fashion, music, and nightlife. Slick has been seen patrolling Austin, TX during the SXSW music festival, interviewing Talib Kweli backstage in Chicago, and hanging out with breakdancers at the Eiffel Tower. MyRide.com Celebrity Car Interview: Tao Berman, World’s Greatest Kayaker

There is human, and then there is Red Bull athlete Tao Berman. USA Today called him the “world’s foremost extreme kayaker.” Sports Illustrated called him “the best-known kayaker on the planet.” And when we called him to do a MyRide With, some how in between paddling off 300-foot waterfalls, dropping into rivers out of helicopters, and running for political office, Tao found time to call back. Tao is a world record holder for the tallest, fastest, and longest waterfall descents in a kayak. He’s been a top competitor in freestyle and extreme kayak racing and has more than 50 first descents to his name, many of which haven’t been attempted since. What’s a first descent? As we understand it, the term means you were the first person with enough kahunas to paddle off a particular waterfall. At least in bull riding you have a rodeo clown to save your ass. One day we woke up and actress Krysten Ritter had dropped a MyRide With off in our mailbox, which is awesome because hot girls rarely ever email us. Actually, her publicist emailed us but roll with it, okay?
Krysten got her start modeling after an agency scouted her in a mall at the age of 15. After spending a handful of years traveling around the world doing the model thing (like we know what that means), Krysten took up acting and has been stepping up her game ever since. She had reoccurring roles on the television shows Gilmore Girls and ‘Til Death, and Krysten is currently on screen in What Happens in Vegas… opposite Ashton Kutcher. Next up, among other projects, Krysten has the starring role in DreamWorks SKG’s now-filming She’s Out of My League (we told you she’s doing big things). We hollered at Speed Racer star Christian Oliver with our five question special and he hollered right back. In the movie Christian plays Speed’s racing nemesis, Snake Oiler, and as it turns out Christian has had some track time in real life too. Matt Damon spied in Tesla Roadster

The Tesla Roadster has created a lot of buzz in Hollywood, and why not, it’s a super-fast, zero-emissions convertible with Black Card caché. Much of that buzz has been semi-confirmed speculation surrounding who is actually on the list to take ownership of one, and spotting a celebrity in a Tesla is rarer than seeing Michael Jackson in public.
