What Tanner Foust can do with a car would make a grown set of tires cry, and the magic doesn’t stop when the Hollywood cameras quit; no, Tanner is one of the top drivers in the organized drifting series Formula DRIFT. At the center of the solar system…Celine Dion

The way people are gravitating towards this Mercedes-Benz S-Class, you’d think the sunroof’s purpose was to let the sun out of the car. I knew Celine Dion was popular; hell, after hockey, beer, and humorous fodder, she is Canada’s biggest export. But this is crazy.

The S-Class is a rolling technological masterpiece which, according to Mercedes-Benz, includes a “sun sensor [that] helps compensate for the effects of direct sunlight on the occupants.” Not sure if it works in reverse for nearby pedestrians.

Victoria Beckham’s Porsche: This is never a good sign.

Victoria Beckham’s Porsche left her driveway on the automotive equivalent of an ambulance this past Friday. Considering she bought it in March, that means it failed quicker than a Spice Girl reunion tour. Forgive my dour mood, it’s Montuesday (the Tuesday following a Monday holiday).

Seal: Name the Ride

You seem to be struggling with yesterday’s name that ride so I’ll throw an easy one out at you.

Ask most people about Seal’s last big hit and they’ll probably call out Kiss from a Rose. For a dude best known for topping the charts in 1994, much respect to him for flossing modern day hits when it comes to his rides. All-4-One blew up in ’94 but I don’t see them rocking exotics. (And in all fairness, Seal has actually had quite a career in music if you look into it, and he’s also married to supermodel Heidi Klum).

If you’ve ever listened to Grammy-award winners Gnarls Barkley, you know that their music is pretty out there (it’s not a knock against them). Front man Cee-Lo Green’s choice of ride, seen here cruising South Beach in Miami, is pretty out there too. But what is it?

Already old news you say? You have no idea how right you are. That was a headline taken from an article in Blender Magazine published in 2004. No surprise today when I read the headline “DMX Arrested In Arizona For Speeding, Caught On Camera Driving 114 MPH”. Famous for his “Ryde or Die” mixtapes, my prediction is that DMX will sooner or later find out it isn’t always an either/or proposition.

Britney Spears was spotted yesterday on her way into an LA courthouse for a status hearing on her kids. Anyone know if she has taken custody of this white Range Rover? I know she gave up for adoption her old Range Rover to Jamie Lynn, and her dad has been busy selling off some of her existing babies. Well if Britney does bring back a new ride to the crib, you’ll read it here first.

Pink goes green

We spend a lot of time talking about green cars on MyRide, but this is one of my favorites. The artist Pink has been seen gliding through Los Angeles recently in her 1959 Chevrolet Impala drop-top. Check out this video about 1:16 in; I don’t remember what Pink’s music sounds like, but I could listen to this car’s exhaust for days.

The Impala just turned 50, and to celebrate Chevrolet came out with a 50^th Anniversary edition of its current Impala. I’m guessing the Pink of 2058 will not be driving one.

When David Beckham and co. recently landed at an airport in France, a brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class was waiting for them on the runway. The last time I took a plane I was greeted by a missing suitcase. Mom, why did I stop playing soccer again? Oh, that’s right, because I was awful.
